<p>I just had to share this with you. Meet my beautiful pincushion box! (It&#8217;s not often one has the opportunity to MEET a pincushion, but as you can see, he&#8217;s a pretty stately and handsome fellow)</p>
<p>My friend Heather found it at a garage sale and thought we&#8217;d love it (we did).</p>
<p><a href="http://thecraggymoor.com/craggyblog/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/Happy-and-sheep-box1.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1533" title="Happy and sheep box1" src="http://thecraggymoor.com/craggyblog/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/Happy-and-sheep-box1-300x200.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="200" /></a></p>
<p>I didn&#8217;t want him to just sit and look pretty on the shelf though.  He needed to have a job to do.</p>
<p>Suddenly it hit me! He could be a pincushion!</p>
<p><a href="http://thecraggymoor.com/craggyblog/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/big-lamb-little-pasture.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1534" title="big lamb little pasture" src="http://thecraggymoor.com/craggyblog/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/big-lamb-little-pasture-300x200.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="200" /></a> Just for fun I made the soft cushion out of a pasture like green plaid, and added some sunny yellow flower pins. Right away a little sheep button moved in and set up housekeeping! <img src='http://thecraggymoor.com/craggyblog/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif' alt=':D' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p><a href="http://thecraggymoor.com/craggyblog/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/pincushion-pasture2.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1536" title="pincushion pasture2" src="http://thecraggymoor.com/craggyblog/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/pincushion-pasture2-300x200.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="200" /></a></p>
<p><a href="http://thecraggymoor.com/craggyblog/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/Happy-and-sheep-box2.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1535" title="Happy and sheep box2" src="http://thecraggymoor.com/craggyblog/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/Happy-and-sheep-box2-300x200.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="200" /></a> Now our beutiful sheep pincushion box sits in a place of honor at our sewing table where he can help with all our projects each day, AND look cute too.</p>

<p>Eunie&#8217;s made of cotton fleece and coordinating cotton rib knit.(I love this cotton fleece! It&#8217;s hard to find, and we only see it once in a while). She has a bit of pink cotton flannel in her ears. She&#8217;s soft, cuddly and floppy. She&#8217;s also 5 way jointed and lots of fun to pose and take on adventures. We make our own hardwood and steel wobble joint assemblies so they&#8217;ll be strong and sturdy.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1457" title="Eunie" src="http://thecraggymoor.com/craggyblog/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/Eunie-225x300.jpg" alt="Eunie" width="225" height="300" /></p>

<p>Lewin is a cotton shaker cable lamb with soft, coordinating cafe au lait cotton knit accents. He has a bit of pink flannel in his ears too. Lewin is also 5 way jointed and is the first to have our brand new Craggy Moor hardwood tag! On the reverse it has his name, date he was made, and artist signature. Both his cute metal bell and his tag are removeable keepsakes.</p>

<p>Hi I&#8217;m Happy! I&#8217;m the first of a newly designed flock of lambs born here on the Moor this spring.</p>
<p>Mama had a lamb once upon a time, when she was a child, and ever since, there&#8217;s been a great love for lambs here on the Moor.</p>
<p>She&#8217;s been working on a design that&#8217;s reminiscent of that legendary lamb but with a huggy, loveable style all our own.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m the firstborn of the new design!</p>
<p>You know what? It&#8217;s hard to find natural materials that are &#8220;lamb-ish&#8221;. When Mama found this buttercream cotton fleece, everyone was so excited!</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1441" title="cotton fleece" src="http://thecraggymoor.com/craggyblog/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/cotton-fleece-300x225.jpg" alt="cotton fleece" width="300" height="225" /></p>
<p>  It&#8217;s perfect!</p>
<p>After a bit of measuring and cutting I was born!</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1442" title="Happy Lamb1" src="http://thecraggymoor.com/craggyblog/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/Happy-Lamb1-225x300.jpg" alt="Happy Lamb1" width="225" height="300" /></p>
<p>I decided to live here on the Craggy Moor. I love the big green, quilted pastures, and the children! Oh, the many hugs I get! Sigh&#8230;</p>
<p>But enough about me!</p>
<p>Today my little brother Alby was born!</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1443" title="happy and alby lamby" src="http://thecraggymoor.com/craggyblog/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/happy-and-alby-lamby-300x225.jpg" alt="happy and alby lamby" width="300" height="225" /></p>
<p>(scoot closer to the camera Alby&#8230;.there that&#8217;s better.)</p>
<p>Isn&#8217;t he sweet?? He&#8217;s already been adopted and he&#8217;s going to live in PA with a sweet girl named Mackenna. Soon you&#8217;ll get lots of hugs too Alby!</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1444" title="Alby Lamby" src="http://thecraggymoor.com/craggyblog/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/Alby-Lamby-300x225.jpg" alt="Alby Lamby" width="300" height="225" /></p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1445" title="Alby Lamby5" src="http://thecraggymoor.com/craggyblog/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/Alby-Lamby5-300x225.jpg" alt="Alby Lamby5" width="300" height="225" /></p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1446" title="Alby Lamby3" src="http://thecraggymoor.com/craggyblog/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/Alby-Lamby3-300x225.jpg" alt="Alby Lamby3" width="300" height="225" /></p>
<p> </p>
<p>There are exciting plans for more lambs here on the Moor this spring too! We have a sister Eunie who&#8217;s almost old enough to be adopted, so come back and visit the Moor soon to meet her. After that our fleece will be discontinued, but more lambs with wool fleece are on the way!</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1447" title="Happy Lamb on Lydia's Blankey" src="http://thecraggymoor.com/craggyblog/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/Happy-Lamb-on-Lydias-Blankey-225x300.jpg" alt="Happy Lamb on Lydia's Blankey" width="225" height="300" /></p>
<p>Thanks for visiting our pasture today! I&#8217;m tired after all this talking.</p>
<p><img title="Alby Lamby4" src="http://thecraggymoor.com/craggyblog/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/Alby-Lamby4-300x225.jpg" alt="Alby Lamby4" width="300" height="225" /></p>
<p>I think Alby and I are gonna curl up and take a nap</p>

<p> </p>
<p> Our friend Cat over at <a title="the Raggy Rat" href="http://raggyrat.blogspot.com/" target="_blank"><img id="Header1_headerimg" style="DISPLAY: block" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_e2ZsDgSRaXM/Sx5TxYVIa0I/AAAAAAAABZg/M_5QfQvuahI/S660/blog+banner.JPG" alt="The Raggy Rat ..." width="313" height="114" /></a> contacted me and just loved Sooty. I asked Sooty if she&#8217;d like to go live with Cat in far away U.K. and she said that sounded like a wonderful adventure!</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve loved Cat&#8217;s Raggy&#8217;s for a long time. Her sweeties were some of the <a title="Raggy Rat on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/raggyrat/3825647276/in/set-72157602317422223/" target="_blank">first I visited </a>when we  started our flickr account. I just love her little standing Ratties! They are full of personality, sweet and absolutely adorable. Cat has pet rats, and I can tell how much she loves them by the care and tenderness she puts into the expression of each little one she makes.</p>
<p>So&#8230;.when Cat asked about a trade, I said &#8220;YES!!&#8221; right away! I love natural colors, and she made one grey, and one brown.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1290" title="Reginald and Gregory Raggy Rat" src="http://thecraggymoor.com/craggyblog/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/Reginald-and-Gregory-Raggy-Rat-225x300.jpg" alt="Reginald and Gregory Raggy Rat" width="225" height="300" /> </p>
<p>Here they are! Cat took a pic of Gregory and Reginald Raggy Rat. They are making the long trek across the water to us this week. We can&#8217;t wait to meet them in person. The children say Reggie looks like Remmie from Ratatouille so we also hope he loves to cook <img src='http://thecraggymoor.com/craggyblog/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>So, we say a fond goodbye to Sooty, and get ready for Sooty&#8217;s sisters and brother lambs to be born soon. And we eagerly await our little box full of Greggie and Reggie!</p>
<p>More pics to come when they arrive and have a look around. <img src='http://thecraggymoor.com/craggyblog/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

<p>Nestled in her mama&#8217;s care, or skipping across the<br />
Moor, Sootyfoot Cottonwool is a happy little lamb. She loves to nibble the delicate purple clover dotting the green grasses, and gently nuzzle her mama ewe when the cool autumn breezes blow. Still, that irresistible, old wood fence entices her. Someday she will try to jump it!</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-958" title="sootyfoot cottonwool5" src="http://thecraggymoor.com/craggyblog/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/sootyfoot-cottonwool5-225x300.jpg" alt="sootyfoot cottonwool5" width="225" height="300" /><br />
Sootyfoot Cottonwool is 9 inches tall from head to hoof, 6 inches sitting. She&#8217;s made of creamy soft cotton repurposed sweater material with a wonderful, thick texture. Sootyfoot&#8217;s hooves, muzzle and ear linings are a beautiful, charcoal colored velvetty wool that contrasts her coat very nicely.<br />
<img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-956" title="sootyfoot cottonwool3" src="http://thecraggymoor.com/craggyblog/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/sootyfoot-cottonwool3-225x300.jpg" alt="sootyfoot cottonwool3" width="225" height="300" /><br />
Sootyfoot&#8217;s sweet face is handstitched with black cotton floss, and her eyes are pretty, shining navy jet beads.<br />
<img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-959" title="sootyfoot cottonwool4" src="http://thecraggymoor.com/craggyblog/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/sootyfoot-cottonwool4-225x300.jpg" alt="sootyfoot cottonwool4" width="225" height="300" /><br />
Sootyfoot is string tied and button jointed with folksy little handmade square wood buttons. They give a charming and whimsical touch to her sweet and classic features.</p>
<p>Her stuffing has a touch of dry lavender, and just enough steel bb&#8217;s deep within her tummy and feet to make her pleasingly heavy, and &#8220;real&#8221; feeling.<br />
<img title="sootyfoot cottonwool2" src="http://thecraggymoor.com/craggyblog/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/sootyfoot-cottonwool2-225x300.jpg" alt="sootyfoot cottonwool2" width="225" height="300" /><br />
Sootyfoot Cottonwool would make a charming gift for someone you love. She is individually made with much love from gently cared for repurposed and brand new materials. She will come with a card dated and signed by the artist too!</p>
<p>Sootyfoot is securely made, however, as with all toys, can dissasemble with rough play. Due to her small parts, we must tell you to use your discretion when purchasing for the very young (under age 3).</p>
<p>Handmade is the very best way to say I love you!<br />
Thanks so much for visiting!</p>

<p>We&#8217;ve made two new, adorable lambs here on the Craggy Moor this week!</p>
<p><a rel="attachment wp-att-831" href="http://robsclan.com/craggymoor/2009/08/27/meet-sarah-and-ewey-shropshire/sarah-shropshire4/"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-831" title="sarah-shropshire4" src="http://robsclan.com/craggymoor/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/sarah-shropshire4-225x300.jpg" alt="sarah-shropshire4" width="225" height="300" /></a></p>
<p>Sarah Shropshire, (12 inches tall from head to hoof) is a cotter pin or &#8220;wobble&#8221; jointed sheep with a wonderful floppy, poseable nature so endearing in those old fashioned stuffed animal friends we remember and love. She is made of lambswool in a pretty cafe au lait color with deliecate varigated mocha and cream colors.  She is stuffed with our favorite stuffing: 100% brand new wool batting, a touch of dry lavender, and just enough steel bb&#8217;s to make her pleasingly heavy and &#8220;real&#8221; feeling.</p>
<p><a rel="attachment wp-att-824" href="http://robsclan.com/craggymoor/2009/08/27/meet-sarah-and-ewey-shropshire/sarah-shropshire5/"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-824" title="sarah-shropshire5" src="http://robsclan.com/craggymoor/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/sarah-shropshire5-225x300.jpg" alt="sarah-shropshire5" width="225" height="300" /></a></p>
<p>Sarah&#8217;s ear linings and the bottoms of her hooves and lining of her cute little tail are country plaid homespun in warm autum tones that pair so nicely with her lambswool.</p>
<p><a rel="attachment wp-att-825" href="http://robsclan.com/craggymoor/2009/08/27/meet-sarah-and-ewey-shropshire/sarah-shropshire3/"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-825" title="sarah-shropshire3" src="http://robsclan.com/craggymoor/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/sarah-shropshire3-300x225.jpg" alt="sarah-shropshire3" width="300" height="225" /></a></p>
<p>Sarah&#8217;s sweet face is handstitched with chocolate brown cotton floss. Her eyes are amber colored glass safety eyes.</p>
<p>And Meet Sarah&#8217;s lamb Ewey!</p>
<p><a rel="attachment wp-att-826" href="http://robsclan.com/craggymoor/2009/08/27/meet-sarah-and-ewey-shropshire/ewey-shropshire/"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-826" title="ewey-shropshire" src="http://robsclan.com/craggymoor/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/ewey-shropshire-300x225.jpg" alt="ewey-shropshire" width="300" height="225" /></a></p>
<p> Ewey Shropshire is 6 inches tall, with 4 inch long legs. She&#8217;s made of all the same beautiful fabrics that Sarah is. Ewey is button jointed, with beautiful flower shaped vintage metal buttons from our vintage button collection.  They have such a lovely yesterday feel and style, that pairs well with Ewey&#8217;s own old fashioned looks.</p>
<p><a rel="attachment wp-att-828" href="http://robsclan.com/craggymoor/2009/08/27/meet-sarah-and-ewey-shropshire/ewey-shropshire4/"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-828" title="ewey-shropshire4" src="http://robsclan.com/craggymoor/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/ewey-shropshire4-300x225.jpg" alt="ewey-shropshire4" width="300" height="225" /></a></p>
<p>Ewey&#8217;s little face is handstitched with chocolate and mustard colored cotton floss and her  sweetly shining eyes are beautiful navy jet beads with subtle navy and medium blue highlights.</p>
<p><a rel="attachment wp-att-829" href="http://robsclan.com/craggymoor/2009/08/27/meet-sarah-and-ewey-shropshire/sarah-and-ewey-shropshire/"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-829" title="sarah-and-ewey-shropshire" src="http://robsclan.com/craggymoor/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/sarah-and-ewey-shropshire-300x225.jpg" alt="sarah-and-ewey-shropshire" width="300" height="225" /></a></p>
<p>Sarah and Ewey are such a cute pair, but they are also for sale individually.  They are collectibles, and though they are sewn securely, they are not suitable for children under the age of 12.</p>
<p> <a rel="attachment wp-att-830" href="http://robsclan.com/craggymoor/2009/08/27/meet-sarah-and-ewey-shropshire/ewey-shropshire5/"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-830" title="ewey-shropshire5" src="http://robsclan.com/craggymoor/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/ewey-shropshire5-225x300.jpg" alt="ewey-shropshire5" width="225" height="300" /></a></p>
<p>Either of these sweet sheep would make a wonderful, unique handmade gift for someone you love, or add them to your own collectible treasures! Each lamb is individually made and one of a kind here on the Moor, and comes with a card dated and signed by the Artist.</p>
<p>Thank you so much for visiting!</p>

<p>Another lamb is leaping onto the Moor!</p>
<p>Sweet and soft, sturdy and adventurous, romping in the setting sun, meet Bristol Lambswool! She&#8217;s full of the lovely late summer colors we&#8217;re seeing here on the Moor.<br />
<a rel="attachment wp-att-743" href="http://robsclan.com/craggymoor/2009/08/13/meet-bristol-lambswool/bristol-lambswool5/"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-743" title="bristol-lambswool5" src="http://robsclan.com/craggymoor/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/bristol-lambswool5-225x300.jpg" alt="bristol-lambswool5" width="225" height="300" /></a><br />
Bristol is 10 1/2 inches head to hoof, and 7 inches sitting.<br />
She&#8217;s made of a beautiful cabled evergreen wool, super soft and wonderfully textured. Her head and hooves are a charming buttered caramel color corduroy coordinating very nicely in both feel and appearance to her pretty evergreen coat. We added some country plaid homespun to her feet and ear linings to further add to her adorable folk art appeal.</p>
<p>(Bristol&#8217;s fabrics are carefully chosen, repurposed all natural fibers cared for gently here on the Moor in a smoke free, pet fur free environment)<br />
<a rel="attachment wp-att-744" href="http://robsclan.com/craggymoor/2009/08/13/meet-bristol-lambswool/bristol-lambswool4/"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-744" title="bristol-lambswool4" src="http://robsclan.com/craggymoor/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/bristol-lambswool4-225x300.jpg" alt="bristol-lambswool4" width="225" height="300" /></a><br />
Bristol Lambswool is jointed with some of our favorite heavy, crested metal buttons from our vintage collection. Her eyes are swirled amber tiger&#8217;s eye glass beads.</p>
<p><a rel="attachment wp-att-745" href="http://robsclan.com/craggymoor/2009/08/13/meet-bristol-lambswool/bristol-lambswool2/"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-745" title="bristol-lambswool2" src="http://robsclan.com/craggymoor/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/bristol-lambswool2-300x225.jpg" alt="bristol-lambswool2" width="300" height="225" /></a></p>
<p>Bristol&#8217;s sweet little nose and mouth are handstitched with 6 strand cotton floss.</p>
<p>She&#8217;s stuffed with the Craggy Moor&#8217;s favorite stuffing:<br />
100% brand new wool batting, a touch of dry lavender and just enough steel bb&#8217;s deep within her stuffing to make her pleasingly heavy and &#8220;real&#8221; feeling in your hand.<br />
<a rel="attachment wp-att-746" href="http://robsclan.com/craggymoor/2009/08/13/meet-bristol-lambswool/bristol-lambswool3/"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-746" title="bristol-lambswool3" src="http://robsclan.com/craggymoor/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/bristol-lambswool3-225x300.jpg" alt="bristol-lambswool3" width="225" height="300" /></a><br />
Bristol Lambswool would make a lovely and unique gift for someone you love, or add her to your own flock of one of a kind lambs! Each of our lambs is individually made and has their own sweet look.</p>
<p>Bristol will come with a card dated and signed by the Artist too!</p>
<p>Bristol is securely made but does contain small parts, so please use your discretion when purchasing for the very young. She&#8217;s not intended for rough play.</p>
