Meet Ellie Bearsley! She’s our newest 9 inch bear, full of handmade sweetness.
A few things that make Ellie special:
She’s 5 way cotter pin jointed with our own extra strong cotter pins and hardwood disks. She’s made of a lovely brushed wool in our favorite caramel brown.
Ellie is wearing her favorite handknit pastel verigated cotton overalls accented with natural hardwood buttons.
We thought we’d have some fun and put Ellie on Ebay! Here’s her link if you’d like to visit her, find out more about her, and put in a bid!

Meet Etta! She’s a beautiful pink cable knit bear with suede accents. She was commissioned by a customer for a family member’s birthday. Our customer picked out the material and sent it to us to use to make this very special bear. This is the first time we’ve done this and we just loved the personal touch it added!
Etta is floppy, huggy, pretty and sweet. We hope she has many happy days with her new friend.

Hallo its Beasley here. This week it was my turn to go on the weekly shopping trip. I really look forward to it, being a traveling bear of sorts. I just love to get out and about, and jumped at the chance to tag along. In our state, there aren’t any laws regarding bears and seatbelts, so my perch of choice is the dash.
We went to our local thrift store to get some materials on this trip, among other stops.

I’m waiting here for my door to open. Look at the road sludge on the windows! We had quite the snowstorm, and it left its sludgy mark on everything in town.
We didn’t take our camera inside, as there was work to do, hence the lack of pictures. We were pressed for time too, as we usually are. Shopping day is the day we hit town and try to get all the things done in one day, and it can be pretty busy most times. We found some really cool stuff though! Lots of materials for some new friends!

I stayed in the van while everyone went into the last stop to ahem…guard the Amazingly Beautiful Can of the Best Chips in the World. Somebear needs to be on guard against possible chip thieves. Hey. They’re out there. I should know.um…because I’ve seen them (I must confess there is only one letter separating seen from been….)

I promise I didn’t take it :0) I was a good bear, so I got my very own chip as we all munched and headed home for the evening.
Excuse me…I need a moment of privacy to enjoy this tasty treat :0)
Talk to you soon!
Beasley on the Moor

Jubal Westingbear fit right in. He colored a picture with the children and other bears this morning during school time. Then he ate all his peanut butter sandwich at lunch, even the crusts! He laughed at all the silly parts of the story at storytime, and curled right up and went to sleep on his mat at naptime.
He loves to wear his comfy cotton overalls and snuggle under the covers a little extra long in the morning, but just ask and he’ll help with anything he can around the house.

Hide and seek is his favorite game and he’s so agreeable, he’ll even be the first to do the counting and seeking while you hide. What a nice, sweet bear to have around!

Jubal is 13 inches tall from head to foot (about 8 1/2 inches sitting). He’s made of a soft black wool and he has buttery soft, wheat colored suede accents.

Jubal’s pretty eyes are amber glass safety eyes. His sweet nose and smile are handstitched with black cotton floss.
Jubal’s stuffing is weighted so make him feel pleasingly heavy and “real” when you hold and hug him.
Jubal is 5 way cotter pin jointed with extra strong galvanized steel cotter pins we made right here on the Moor. His joints are 1/4 inch hardwood disks. He can pose in many cute ways.
Jubal is wearing a set of homespun comfy cotton plaid and flannel overalls with cris-cross straps and snaps at the shoulders.

Jubal would make a wonderful bear friend for anyone over the age of 3, or add him to a nursery as a beautiful decoration. He’ll wait patiently till his little friend gets old enough to play; He’d also love to just come home and be your friend!
Jubal is one of a kind, and individually made like all the sweet bears here on the Moor. He’s made with much love, and comes with a card dated and signed by the artist.
Jubal Westingbear is made with high quality new and repurposed, natural and hypoallergenic materials-he’s beautiful and a responsible way to reuse lovely, “forgotten” fabrics~something we just love!

And handmade is the very best way to say “I love you”!
Thank you for visiting!

Audrey Ann Woolbear dashed out into the crisp air to play. Her breath made little wispy clouds around her soft muzzle as she laughed and sang, playing hide and seek around the trunk of her favorite old oak tree. Her person laughed along with her, and silly songs rang through the frosty morning air…

Audrey Ann Woolbear is a sweet 5 way jointed bear standing at 13 inches (9 inches sitting). She is made of a beautiful caramel colored brushed wool. Her paws are lined with an equally lovely and soft evergreen suede.
Audrey’s joints are made with hardwood disks, and our own extra strong galvanized steel cotter pins. This type of jointing gives her an old fashioned look we just love so much. Audrey’s head turns, and her limbs are poseable in so many adorable ways.
Audrey is firmly stuffed, like old fashioned bears we remember. Her stuffing is weighted too, to give her a delightfully heavy, and “real” feeling when held and hugged.

Audrey’s sweet winter hat is made from a soft cotton repurposed sweater with a beautiful fair-isle inspired pattern on charcoal grey.
Audrey is dressable in any of your favorite doll clothes too! Clothes that fit a 12-16 inch doll would fit her nicely (styles vary, so the best way to know is to try them on her).

Audrey’s pretty eyes are amber glass safety eyes. Her sweet nose and mouth are handstitched with black cotton floss and much love.
Audrey would be a safe and loveable friend for anyone over the age of 3. She would also make a wonderfully whimsical, vintage inspired decoration for a little one’s nursery-ready and waiting for play days when her little friend gets older.
Audrey is one of a kind, and individually made, so she’s also the perfect addition to your own collection of special handmade bears too! She comes with a card dated and signed by the Artist.

Audrey Woolbear is handmade with much love for you or someone you love!

We’ve had some new waldorf lambs and bunnies “born” this week, as well as one waldorf bear named Patter.
We love Waldorf style friends because their sweet faces are uncomplicated and open, friendly, inspiring imaginative play. Simple sweet faces tend to “reflect” the emotion that the child is feeling.

We love when our little ones come to us with their little Waldorf friends (our daughters have waldorf bears). They’ll say “Waffles is hungry” or “Wooby was mad at Caleb because he made him wrestle”. Its so cute!

We now have 2 “Baapy” lambs on the Moor:

Ewey and Jeffey!
We also have two waldorf bunnies:

Baby Rita and Baby Rupert-patterned after our collectible cotterpin jointed pair.
Our baby bunnies and Baapys are made with soft, huggable cotton. Their stuffing is weighted to give them that just right, slightly heavy, “real” feeling when held and carried.
The Baapy lambs have floppy ears, and the bunnies and Patter have floppy ears and arms that are just right for early grasping.
Our waldorf baby animals might be just the right gift for a preemie! They would make a safe, and cheery addition to the isolette, and can be used to prop baby in different sleeping positions. Patterns and easy to see contrasting faces will encourage interest during waking hours.

We made them to be easy to care for. If any of our waldorf animal friends gets soiled, simply place in a pillow case, wash with mild soap on gentle cycle, and dry in low heat, or air dry. Fluff to reshape if needed. Minor soilings need only to be spot cleaned with a cloth and mild soap/damp cloth.

Stop by the Craggy Moor to learn more, and adopt one today!

When I opened my eyes the whole world was new! First I saw the soft glowing light from the lamp on the dresser. Then, I felt soft hands turn me this way and that. Then a hug from a small child made me feel cozy and warm. I smelled the delicious smell of morning coffee brewing and heard my name for the first time. What will this wide world bring? I love it already!

Kinder Bearmingham is a wonderfully classic, 5 way cotter pin jointed teddy bear! Made of a beautiful caramel colored wool and perfect for dressing in your favorite outfit, and very sweetly poseable. Kinder’s head turns, and limbs hang and move in different natural ways. This type of wobble jointing technique makes Kinder floppy like a baby, but sturdy and able to go on all sorts of adventures.

Kinder is 11 1/2 inches tall from head to toe, 9 inches sitting.
Kinder has buttery soft, coordinating caramel suede paw pads.

Kinder’s sweet nose and smile are handstitched with black cotton floss. Kinder has lovely amber colored glass safety eyes.
Kinder’s stuffing is weighted with pebbles for a pleasingly heavy and “real” feeling when held.
Kinder’s joins are hardwood disks, with extra strong galvanized steel cotter pins we made right here on the Moor.
Kinder is one of a kind, individually made, and perfect for young and old alike. Kinder is a neutral bear, ready to be dressed as a girl or a boy.

Do you love making doll clothes? Kinder is the perfect bear for you to add to your collection, or give as a gift with your own personal touch!
Kinder will come lovingly packaged with a card dated and signed by the artist.

UPDATE!! Sandy has been adopted by Anja and is getting ready to travel to Massachusetts bright and early tomorrow morning!

Sandy Bearington sat and thought. Today was a new day, and the sun was streaming in the curtains. What would today’s adventure be? A story, a walk in the woods? First he must ask his person for a sip of tea…

Rupert Rabbit joined his sister Rita today on the Moor. They are a very sweet, huggable, poseable pair. As soon as Rupert was finished both patchwork hares jumped up and down on my bed, and then scampered away to have some fun…haven’t seen them since lol! If you adopt one or both of these sweethearts, you’ll have your hands full!

Henley and Pemberton arrived safe and sound at their new home and they have a new blog! It’s going to be so much fun reading about their adventures, as they enjoy their new life.

As you can see, they are already hanging around the place having fun!
We are very excited to send Tilly Woolmouse to Italy tomorrow!! She is going to be a friend to a little girl named Federica (what a lovely name!) but sssshhhh Tilly needs to hide till Christmas! Tilly is so excited, I hope she doesn’t pop out of hiding too early!
Tilly has a few sisters, newly born. They are already adopted!(thank you so much!!) We are just telling them about the wonderful new places they’ll be traveling to. We’ll post pics when they are finished and ready to go.
Some more of our Craggy Moor Friends got in touch with us, and told us about their blog too!
Grabel and Jenny Woolmouse wanted to tell us and you about their new adventures! You can read about them here
Autumn days are busy days here on the Moor but we LOVE it! Big thank you’s and hugs to our newly adopted Craggy Moor Friends, and especially to the wonderful folks who adopted them!!
There are new bears, hares, and lambs in the works this week too. Check back often to see who pops up!
