Hallo its Beasley here. This week it was my turn to go on the weekly shopping trip. I really look forward to it, being a traveling bear of sorts. I just love to get out and about, and jumped at the chance to tag along. In our state, there aren’t any laws regarding bears and seatbelts, so my perch of choice is the dash.
We went to our local thrift store to get some materials on this trip, among other stops.

I’m waiting here for my door to open. Look at the road sludge on the windows! We had quite the snowstorm, and it left its sludgy mark on everything in town.
We didn’t take our camera inside, as there was work to do, hence the lack of pictures. We were pressed for time too, as we usually are. Shopping day is the day we hit town and try to get all the things done in one day, and it can be pretty busy most times. We found some really cool stuff though! Lots of materials for some new friends!

I stayed in the van while everyone went into the last stop to ahem…guard the Amazingly Beautiful Can of the Best Chips in the World. Somebear needs to be on guard against possible chip thieves. Hey. They’re out there. I should know.um…because I’ve seen them (I must confess there is only one letter separating seen from been….)

I promise I didn’t take it :0) I was a good bear, so I got my very own chip as we all munched and headed home for the evening.
Excuse me…I need a moment of privacy to enjoy this tasty treat :0)
Talk to you soon!

We know, its been quiet over on our Etsy store. We wanted to share with you what we’ve been up to!
The first order to come in was a for a cute pair of mice who went to live in far away Malaysia.

The second order to come in was for a trio of mousie friends who will go to live in Australia.

They are some of the first mice to wear the new patterns we’ve been working on for overalls, jumpers, and hooded sweaters!

It’s time to get back to the day, but we wanted to give you a quick update. There are two custom order puppies just finished; and more cute friends in the works too, almost ready to introduce to you, as well as custom orders in the works! We are so excited to be so busy! Check back often because we’ll have more pics coming soon!

Greg and Reg our Raggy Rat Bros. are here!

We were so surprised when our package arrived on Tuesday!

We had hardly opened the package when they popped right out!

We showed them around, and introduced them.

They jumped right into our routine, and helped with school! Greg helped with handwriting

Reggie helped with math.

“Ooooh Greg, what’s that place?”
“It’s Under the Couch Reg….a dark and mysterious place….”

Greg and Reg took their seats and shared some pizza for dinner

And made so many new mousie friends! Before they all go, we wanted to get a pic!
Greg and Reg are constantly running here and there, playing with the children, and having so much fun. We think they’ll fit right in.
Thanks again Cat! They are just precious.

This cute little Sooty lamb is the first of a line of new lambs to be born soon here on the Moor! I posted pics of Sooty on flickr to see how folks liked her.

Our friend Cat over at contacted me and just loved Sooty. I asked Sooty if she’d like to go live with Cat in far away U.K. and she said that sounded like a wonderful adventure!
I’ve loved Cat’s Raggy’s for a long time. Her sweeties were some of the first I visited when we started our flickr account. I just love her little standing Ratties! They are full of personality, sweet and absolutely adorable. Cat has pet rats, and I can tell how much she loves them by the care and tenderness she puts into the expression of each little one she makes.
So….when Cat asked about a trade, I said “YES!!” right away! I love natural colors, and she made one grey, and one brown.
Here they are! Cat took a pic of Gregory and Reginald Raggy Rat. They are making the long trek across the water to us this week. We can’t wait to meet them in person. The children say Reggie looks like Remmie from Ratatouille so we also hope he loves to cook
So, we say a fond goodbye to Sooty, and get ready for Sooty’s sisters and brother lambs to be born soon. And we eagerly await our little box full of Greggie and Reggie!
More pics to come when they arrive and have a look around.

Hi I’m Spotty Barkington!
Can I come live with you? I promise to be good, and not chase the cat too much. I’ll always be glad to see you at the end of the day! I’ll be your best friend and protector against things that go growl, er, bump in the night! I’m just the type of friend to play fetch whenever you want, and snuggle and share the biscuits. So, what do you say? :0)
I’ll tell you a little bit about me:

I’m 10 inches tall from ears to toes (6 inches sitting). I’m made of adorably nubbly black and white cotton knit sweater material. I have soft wheat colored suede paw pads and ear linings.

I’m button jointed with beautiful hardwood buttons that match my suede accents just right! My eyes are shiny cat’s eye stone beads. My cute little nose and smile are handstitched with cotton floss, and so are my paws!

My stuffing is weighted to make me feel slightly heavy, and “real” (aren’t I real? I thought I was real!). I have a touch of dry lavender in my stuffing too for added sweetness.
I also have a little leather “dog collar” with cute heart charm.

I’m one of a kind, made with much love, and would make a wonderful friend for anyone over the age of 3. I’d make a wonderful gift for someone you love, or add me to your own family! I come with a card dated and signed by the artist too!

Handmade is the very best way to say I love you!
Thank you for visiting!
**We use natural fiber, new and repurposed materials that we gently care for here on the Moor. Our desire is to make adorable mousies like this one a gift that’s unique and handmade, and something we’d love to give, and responsible too!

We just finished a sweet pair of sister bears for a customer. They are in memory of her mom and her mom’s best friend. Bernice and Kate Bearingsley are adorable velvet bears with soft suede accents.

they have matching heather wool stocking caps decorated with a little crochet flower. Their sweet noses, claws and smiles were handstitched with black cotton floss. They have shining black cat’s eye bead eyes.
They both have button joints with beautiful natural hardwood buttons. Their stuffing is weighted to make them feel wonderfully ”real” and so nice to hold and hug.
Bernice has chocolate wool velvet with caramel suede accents.
Kate has caramel velvet and wheat suede accents
Each bear was individually made and they are one of a kind, just like their older sister Mabel Bearingsley! We made Mabel not too long ago, and Mabel was the inspiration for the creation of Bernice and Kate.
They have a card dated and signed by the artist too.
handmade is the very best way to say I love you!

They found our little sled today and asked to go out and give it a try, but its way too cold for little bears today! :0)
