On the Moor

Tug Fieldmouse is getting ready to travel to his true love, LaMerle. He’s brushed his whiskers, perked up his ears and can’t wait to get on the road! LaMerle travelled on ahead to their new home, and also waits eagerly to see her sweetheart again.

Tug Fieldmouse is made of beautiful medium brown wool, with pretty country apple plaid accents. He is button jointed with lovely natural shell buttons.

Tug’s pretty eyes are shining black cat’s eye beads with navy highlights. His sweet nose and smile are handstitched with cotton floss.

Tug’s stuffing is weighted to make him slightly heavy and “real” feeling when held. We also acquired a new supply of dry lavender! So we added a pinch to his stuffing and he smells so nice.

Missy Fieldmouse is quiet and small
She doesn’t make much noise at all.
She put on her hat, all fleecy and warm,
To meet her friend in the snowy white storm.

Melissa Fieldmouse (or “Missy” as she’s called by her friends) is a pretty little mouse, about 6 1/2 inches tall. She’s made of soft and lovely wheat colored brown wool. She has soft wheat colored cotton velvet lining her paws, and soft pink cotton lining her adorable, folksy, oversized ears.

Melissa is all ready for winter, wearing her favorite creamy white merino wool stocking cap. It has a cute little glass and wire star pendant on the tip.

Melissa’s button jointed and has beautiful natural hardwood buttons at each joint.

Her eyes are lovely cat’s eye stone bead eyes. Her sweet nose and smile are handstitched with cotton floss and much love.

Melissa is just right to tuck into a pocket and go on any adventure. She would make a fun and unique friend to anyone over the age of 3 (due to small parts, please use your discretion when buying for the very young).

Lotty is a sweet little mousie who just loves to snuggle!

She’s a pretty patchwork mouse about 7 1/2 inches tall with 3 1/2 inch sweet and floppy ears. She’s just the right size for little hands. Her ears, tail,and little limbs are wonderful for early grasping.

Lotty is made of a super soft wheat colored cotton velvet. She has pretty pink plaid cotton accents, to include a cute little knotted mouse tail.

Lotty has adorable handstitched cotton eyes, nose and smile. She also has a pretty little handstitched apple red wool heart full of love.

Lotty’s stuffing is weighted with double washed pebbles sewn securely into a muslin pouch in her tummy. This makes her slightly and very pleasingly heavy, and irresistible for little hands to hold and hug.

Lotty is completely child friendly, and would be the perfect friend for even the tiniest little one. Lotty would love to keep her little friend company at naptime, and she loves to jump into the diaper bag for on the go adventure and fun.

Coney Meadowfoot darted across the Moor with Crazy Fox in quick persuit. Suddenly I heard a “Bambambam” on my front door and looked down to see Coney drumming frantically with a big bunny foot. I quickly let him in, and just in time too! Crazy Fox sneered in our direction and darted back into the wood. I comforted Coney with a cup of meadow tea and a crumpet.

Coney Meadowfoot is full of old fashioned charm. He’s  a 9 inch tall, chocolate brown cable knit bunny. He has wonderfully long 5 inch ears. His ears have a pad of wool felt inside to make them stand up. You can also adjust them in different cute ways.

Coney is cotton, with folksy wheat flannel plaid accents detailed with tiny lines of chocolate and evergreen. He’s incredibly huggy and warm and soft. His little muzzle is soft wheat colored velvet.

Coney even has a real cottontail made of snowy white cotton yarn.

Little Lentil is a soft brown cotton mousie! He gives a friendly smile, and a listening ear, and he loves to be held and hugged, and carried along on adventure.

Lentil is made of soft cotton knit and coordinating floral patchwork with pretty shades of mustard,sage,cranberry and rose. He has sweet handstitched eyes,nose and smile.

Lentil also has a cute little handsewn cherry wool heart full of love, and a little patchwork tail with a knot at the end.

He is completely child friendly, and has pleasing contrast in color and pattern, very interesting to babies.

Lentil’s stuffing is weighted with a few double washed pebbles securely sewn into a muslin pouch in his tummy to make him a little heavy, and pleasing for little hands to hold and carry.

Lentil is waldorf style. We love the open simplicity and homespun nature of Waldorf creations. They inspire imaginative play, and their little faces reflect the emotion of the child playing with them.

Wilson Bearson stared out the window longingly. The cold winter wind had blown away the dusting of snow from the previous day. The pretty icy powder had retreated once more to dry green grasses. He sat back down to polish the runners of his little wooden sled. “It’s ok,” I told him, “The winter will come.” I pushed a tiny steaming cup his way. “Have a sip of cocoa….”

Wilson Bearson is a soft and beautiful chocolate brown velvet bear made from a wonderfully classic, vintage inspired pattern. He’s 11 inches tall (7 inches sitting).

Jubal Westingbear fit right in. He colored a picture with the children and other bears this morning during school time. Then he ate all his peanut butter sandwich at lunch, even the crusts! He laughed at all the silly parts of the story at storytime, and curled right up and went to sleep on his mat at naptime.

He loves to wear his comfy cotton overalls and snuggle under the covers a little extra long in the morning, but just ask and he’ll help with anything he can around the house.

 Hide and seek is his favorite game and he’s so agreeable, he’ll even be the first to do the counting and seeking while you hide. What a nice, sweet bear to have around!

Jubal is 13 inches tall from head to foot (about 8 1/2 inches sitting). He’s made of a soft black wool and he has buttery soft, wheat colored suede accents.

With the weather getting cooler, some of us bears here on the Moor asked if we could have some cozy winter hats to go out and play in.  We were so happy with ours, that we asked if some could be made for you too!

I had to try them all on of course The hats are handmade here on the Moor with lots of love, out of beautiful natural fibers. This brown one I’m wearing is going to a bearfriend in California.

I wanted to do a quick post on this adorable custom mouse pair for our Craggy Friend Janie! She ordered a white mouse in memory of a favorite pet; and then a country mouse for her friend.

 Angelina Meadowgrove is an adorable wool/silk blend mousie with pretty country apple plaid cotton accents!

 Rosie Snowdrop is a beautiful white angora mouse with pink floral linen accents.

Sometimes sweet Craggy Moor Collectibles come and go too quickly for me to post for you!

One such cutie  is Katie Flowerseed. She was just adopted and is travelling to Canada! We’ve been able to send quite a few of these patchwork mousies out to new loving homes, and we thank you so much if you’ve adopted one.

Audrey Ann Woolbear dashed out into the crisp air to play. Her breath made little wispy clouds around her soft muzzle as she laughed and sang, playing hide and seek around the trunk of her favorite old oak tree. Her person laughed along with her, and silly songs rang through the frosty morning air…

Audrey Ann Woolbear is a sweet 5 way jointed bear standing at 13 inches (9 inches sitting). She is made of a beautiful caramel colored brushed wool. Her paws are lined with an equally lovely and soft evergreen suede.
