Come meet sweet, floppy, huggable Grabel!

Posted in bears, hand made | No Comments »

Grabel Bainbridge

Does anyone need a high spirited, incredibly loveable teddy bear with an incredible penchant for chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream? Grabel tries to be good, but we keep catching him in the freezer…he says its just because he likes the cold, but we know better!

Grabel Bainbridge is a wonderfully floppy polar teddy bear. He’s 10 inches tall, 6 inches sitting. He is made of a beautiful white and black cotton fleck repurposed sweater material that really gives him softness and personality. He has a buttery soft wheat colored suede muzzle, and lovely coordinating navy plaid cotton lining his paws and ears.

Grabel Bainbridge2

Grabel is button jointed with lovely, unfinished blonde wood buttons that match his muzzle nicely. His sweet nose and smile are handstitched with black cotton floss.
Grabel Bainbridge4
Grabel has shining navy blue cat’s eye bead eyes. We love the unique “moving” glint of a cat’s eye bead!

He has a velvet ribbon collar with a sweet little heartshaped swing tag that reads “handmade with love”.

Grabel’s stuffing is weighted to give him a delightful slightly heavy, “real” feel when held.

Grabel Bainbridge3

Grabel is so huggable, and he loves to pose in so many cute ways (he really is a ham when you get the camera out!)

He is wonderfully unique, individually made and one of a kind (all our bears here on the Moor have their own sweet look!). Grabel Bainbridge comes with a card with his birthday and artist signature. He would be perfect as a gift, or add him to your own snuggle of treasured friends.

Grabel is securely made with new and repurposed, hypoallergenic and natural materials, all gently cared for here on the Moor. He does have small parts, so please use your discretion when buying for the very young.

Handmade is the very best way to say I love you!

Eli Bearington might be small, but his heart is big!

Eli Bearington2

He sure is small, but he has a great big heart! Meet Eli Bearington! He’s just right to fit in a pocket and tag along on all kinds of adventures. At the end of the day he’s perfect to share a little snack (he promises not to take too big a bite-being a bear of very small size)
 Eli Bearington4
Eli is a modest but adorable 6 inches tall (4 inches sitting). He’s made of super soft, irresistibly huggable blue cotton velvet. His paw pads are a pretty, vintage inspired cotton plaid with stripes of mustard, plum and wheat.

His stuffing is weighted to make him delightfully heavy and “real” feeling when you hold him.

Eli’s eyes are shining, navy cat’s eye beads. His sweet nose and smile are handstitched with black cotton floss.

Eli Bearington

He’s button jointed with engraved, silver metal bead buttons at each joint. His collar is black suede with a sweet heart shaped charm that reads “handmade with love”.

Eli Bearington5

Eli is individually handmade with much love. His materials are repurposed and brand new, natural and hypoallergenic. He comes with a card dated and signed by the artist.

He’d make a wonderful, unique gift for someone you love, or tuck him into your own special treasures.

Handmade is the very best way to say I love you!

Betsy Bearhardt2

Our sweet Betsy Bearhardt went to her new home in San Diego, and her family of new bear friends (with the help of their Mama Molly) did a blog of her first outing! We are so honored and happy to see a story about one of our sweet bears:

**********************************************************

“There was nothing so very remarkable in that; nor did Alice think it so very much out of the way to hear the Rabbit say to itself, “Oh dear! Oh dear! I shall be too late” (when she thought it over afterwards, it occurred to her that she ought to have wondered at this, but at the time it all seemed quite natural); but when the Rabbit actually took a watch out of its waistcoat-pocket, and looked at it, and then hurried on, Alice started to her feet, for it flashed across her mind that she had never before seen a rabbit with either a waistcoat-pocket or a watch to take out of it, and, burning with curiosity, she ran across the field after it, and was just in time to see it pop down a large rabbit-hole under the hedge.

In another moment down went Alice after it, never once considering how in the world she was to get out again.”-Lewis Carrol

Sootyfoot Cottonwool-a spunky autumn lamb

Posted in hand made, sheep | No Comments »

sootyfoot cottonwool

Nestled in her mama’s care, or skipping across the
Moor, Sootyfoot Cottonwool is a happy little lamb. She loves to nibble the delicate purple clover dotting the green grasses, and gently nuzzle her mama ewe when the cool autumn breezes blow. Still, that irresistible, old wood fence entices her. Someday she will try to jump it!

sootyfoot cottonwool5
Sootyfoot Cottonwool is 9 inches tall from head to hoof, 6 inches sitting. She’s made of creamy soft cotton repurposed sweater material with a wonderful, thick texture. Sootyfoot’s hooves, muzzle and ear linings are a beautiful, charcoal colored velvetty wool that contrasts her coat very nicely.
sootyfoot cottonwool3
Sootyfoot’s sweet face is handstitched with black cotton floss, and her eyes are pretty, shining navy jet beads.
sootyfoot cottonwool4
Sootyfoot is string tied and button jointed with folksy little handmade square wood buttons. They give a charming and whimsical touch to her sweet and classic features.

Her stuffing has a touch of dry lavender, and just enough steel bb’s deep within her tummy and feet to make her pleasingly heavy, and “real” feeling.
sootyfoot cottonwool2
Sootyfoot Cottonwool would make a charming gift for someone you love. She is individually made with much love from gently cared for repurposed and brand new materials. She will come with a card dated and signed by the artist too!

Sootyfoot is securely made, however, as with all toys, can dissasemble with rough play. Due to her small parts, we must tell you to use your discretion when purchasing for the very young (under age 3).

Handmade is the very best way to say I love you!
