Another sweet bear has crept onto the Craggy Moor!
And he’s a very well mannered, fun loving bear. He sips his tea, uses his napkin and says please and thank you quite nicely. He’s an avid reader and a very accomplished conversationalist as well. Milton’s interested in learning more about almost any subject. He’s a sturdy bear ready for any adventure or similar type of fun too.

Milton Bearstein is 9 1/2 inches tall standing, about 7 inches tall sitting. He’s made from a wonderfully vintage cotton corduroy type fabric, but without the lines that corduroy normally has. It has a sturdy feel, and soft nap with a caramel color that is so reminiscent of the old days. His ears and paws are lined with a delightfully old fashioned faded looking, green, cream and navy plaid cotton that compliments his fur quite nicely.

Milton’s limbs are jointed and secured with black cotton floss and real hand made scrabble tile buttons! They are just adorable, and add even more to his whimsical “days gone by” appeal.

Milton’s little nose is hand stitched black cotton floss, and his sweetly shining eyes are antique bronze colored czech glass beads.
Milton was stuffed with the Craggy Moor’s favorite stuffing: 100% wool batting, a touch of lavender, and just enough steel bb’s in his little pot belly tummy and feet to make him slightly and pleasingly heavy in the hand.

Milton is sure to be a loveable and unique folk art bear perfect for a gift or your own collection.

Hopping through the woods, on her way to her Grandma’s house comes little Millicent Hareford. Wearing her little hooded cape to keep her warm, she knows just the way to go!

Millicent Hareford is our newest slate grey wool bunny. She’s an extra special treasure because we’ve added soft and beautiful wheat colored suede to her paws, and the linings of her ears and tail.
She’s also wearing a little hand knit, removable hooded cape made from raspberry colored mohair and secured with a black and silver metal clasp. She looks just like a little girl ready to make the familiar journey to her much loved Grandmother.

Millicent’s stuffed with our favorite Craggy Moor stuffing:
100% brand new wool batting, a touch of lavender, and just enough steel bb’s deep within her tummy and feet to give her that slightly heavy, pleasingly “real” feel we love.

Millicent’s little face is handstitched with black cotton floss, and her sweet shining eyes are antique bronze color czech glass beads.
She has button jointed limbs adorned with whimsically mismatched silver metal buttons that further add to her folk art charm.

Do you love bunnies or want to give someone special a unique and handmade treasure? Millicent is individually hand made with much love, and like all our bunnies here on the Moor, has a precious look that is all her own.
She’s full of folk art appeal, and reminiscent of those old stories we all remember and tell to our own children.
Millicent Hareford would love to be a friend to someone you love.
Handmade is the very best way to say I love you!
Thank you for visiting!
(Millicent has a few small parts that have been securely sewn so use your own discretion when buying for the very young. Millicent Hareford is a collectible and not made for rough play.)

Another friendly bear crept onto the Moor today. Word’s getting around that we might find good homes for sweet sweater bears (and we do offer marmalade and scones when they stop by as well but I’m sure its the homes they are looking for most :0)

This is Wilfred Bearington. He tells me he’s a cousin to Alfie (adopted recently) of the Oatmeal Bearingtons, Wilfred being from the line of Shetland Bearingtons, related on their mothers’ sides (these two families go back a long way).
Wilfred is a very pleasant bear and full of interesting personality. He stands at 8 1/2 inches from his head to his toes and is about 6 1/4 inches sitting.
He’s made of a lovely shetland wool/mohair blend repurposed sweater material (gently cleaned and cared for here on the Moor). His fur has a very nice wool/mohair texture with a hint of a silky lanolin feel.
This shetland/mohair blend wool also has a very neat argylle pattern in a mixture of light and dark grey, deep olive green and charcoal.
His accents are a creamy cafe au lait color cotton velvet.
Wilfred’s stuffed with our favorite stuffing: 100% brand new wool batting, a touch of dry lavender, and just enough steel bbs in his tummy and feet to make him quite pleasingly heavy and ‘real’ feeling in the hand.

Wilfred has a cute little ebony cotton handstitched nose at the end of his sweet velvet muzzle. His eyes are antique bronze color czech glass beads, securely sewn with the same black ebony cotton floss.

Wilfred has charming two tone metal buttons at each joint from our vintage button collection which add to the yesterday appeal he has that we love so much here.
He also has a piece of black suede cording for a collar that holds a cute little silver metal lock and key charm.

Wilfred would make a wonderful gift for someone you know who loves handmade bears, or add him to your own collection. He’s individually and lovingly made as each of our bears are here on the Moor, and each bear has their own sweet look. He comes with a card signed and dated by the Artist.
Thank you so much for visiting!

A very shy and thoughtful bunny is looking for someone to love her.
Meet Victoria Scamperfoot! She’s an adorable little 8 inch button jointed bunny with real old fashioned appeal.

Victoria is made of our pretty and soft caramel cashmere/wool blend repurposed material (gently cleaned and cared for). She has whimsically striped cotton knit ear linings, and plum colored corduroy paw pads.
Victoria’s stuffed with our favorite stuffing: 100% brand new wool batting, a touch of dry lavender and just enough steel bbs deep inside to make her pleasingly heavy and “real” feeling in your hand.
Victoria’s joints are accented with natural, unfinished, smooth wood buttons that add even more to her irresistable “yesterday” appearance.

Her little face is simply handstitched with cotton floss to give her a quiet, thoughtful look.
Her eyes are antique bronze color czech glass beads securely stitched with cotton floss.

Victoria Scamperfoot is a loveably sweet bunny that would make a wonderful gift or treasure for your own collection. She comes with a card signed and dated by the Artist, and she’s individually made so you know you are getting a one-of-a-kind friend made especially for you.
Our bunnies are securely made, but contain small parts, so use your discretion when buying for the very young.

We are really happy with the new sweater bear design we’ve developed here recently! We happened upon some really nice velvet, as well as a storehouse of lovely sweater materials, and these lovely fabrics really inspired us to try and make something extra cute.
So we had a “Teddy Bear Picnic”!! lol!

Our first new design sweater bear was ”Bartley Bearhardt”. He’s made of a wonderfully soft black angora sweater material. He was adopted by the wonderful nuns at a Convent in Massachusetts. (They’ve also given many of our Waldorf softies a good home there too-thank you so much!!!)

The next bear to come along was Barnaby Barnes. He went right away to a good home in Alaska (bears love Alaska!).

Galvin is travelling to his faraway Amsterdam home! (more to come about him on a later post!)

Alfie Bearington travelled to live in Collegeville Pa.

His little cousin Abel went to live in Nebraska.

Polly Pendleton went over the ocean to live in Nottingham England.
We are so happy that all our sweater bears quickly found good homes! A big Thank you to everyone who adopted them!

There are more sweet bears in the works along with more lambs and bunnies too! Check back often!

Alfie Bearington stopped by for one of our almost famous Teddy Bear picnics and with no real home of his own, asked if we could find him one.
And we said of course!

Alfie is a sweet 9 inch tall sweater bear cub with a very playful heart. He’s made of a very pleasant oatmeal colored wool sweater material (repurposed, gently cleaned here on the Moor)and accented with soft chocolate brown velvet.

Alfie’s little nose and sweet smile are handstitched with 6 strand cotton floss, and his eyes shine with a lovely antique brass color. They are made of czech glass beads securely hand sewn.

Alfie’s stuffed with our favorite stuffing: 100% brand new wool batting, a touch of lavender, and a few bb’s in his tummy and feet to make him feel slightly heavy, and “real” when you hold him.
Alfie’s arms and legs are jointed and accented with charming lightly finished beveled wood buttons that add the whimsy and folk art charm we’ve come to adore.
Alfie has his favorite letter fashioned in wood around his neck on a leather cord.
Alfie would make a very special gift for someone you love or the perfect addition to your own collection. He contains small parts and is not suitable for children under the age of 12.

Alfie is individually made and has his very own sweet look. He will come in a Craggy Moor cotton gift bag with a card signed and dated by the Artist!
He also comes ready to give lots of bear hugs :0)

Meet Baa!
Baa is full of fun and love and just waiting to go on adventures with a special little person!

Baa is a wonderfully soft Waldorf style Lamb made from a super soft evergreen and brown wool sweater (repurposed, gently cared for here on the Moor).

He has a sweet little handstitched cotton face with the simple, open expression we love in a Waldorf style treasure. He will naturally reflect whatever emotion your child wants to imagine. (That’s the amazing and wonderful thing about Waldorf Friends!)
He has a little red flannel handstitched heart too!
Baa’s ears are lined with an old fashioned green cotton plaid that coordinates nicely with his cute and floppy green ears.
Look closely! We love Baa’s color block angled line between his green and chocolate brown!

Baa’s stuffed with the Craggy Moor’s favorite stuffing: 100% brand new wool batting, a touch of dry lavender for a comforting scent and just a few double washed pebbles deep inside his stuffing to make him feel slightly heavy and “real” feeling in your hand.

Baa is 10 inches tall from head to hoof, just the right size to tuck into a diaper bag, or into little arms at bedtime; and just the right size to tag along on any car ride or adventure.
Baa is all natural and completely child friendly! He would make a wonderfully unique baby shower gift too. Baa comes with a card signed and dated by the Artist and can also include a note from you if you’d like!

But best of all, Ba would love to come home with you and be a best friend to your little one.
Thank you for taking a peek at our newest little lamb!
